The Ashkin Group Selected to Be Green Cleaning Resource for The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI)

BOISE, ID - Tuesday, March 15, 2011.  The Ashkin Group, the oldest and leading organization advocating Green Cleaning in the professional cleaning industry, has been selected as the sole provider of Green Cleaning information for The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI), an online resource for creating and maintaining clean, healthy indoor environments.

According to the arrangement, The Ashkin Group will share original content, presentations, and other information regarding Green Cleaning and sustainability with HFI. The goal is to help HFI build a growing library of information on these issues, now such a crucial part of the professional cleaning industry.

“We selected The Ashkin Group because they are widely respected as the most authoritative, definitive source of information on Green Cleaning and sustainability,” says Allen Rathey, president of HFI. “They also share our vision of making the indoor environment a healthier place using science-based information, cleaning practices, and products.”

Stephen Ashkin, president of The Ashkin Group notes his organization welcomes the opportunity to work with HFI, adding, “we are delighted to be working with Allen and HFI on Green Cleaning.  They have been true innovators and industry leaders and together we will have a greater opportunity to create cleaner and healthier buildings, while at the same time reducing impacts on our environment.”

About The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI)

The Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI) strives to provide authoritative information for creating and maintaining clean, healthy indoor environments. Since buildings are ecosystems, HFI works to address the many interrelated aspects of built environments—such as air, water, energy, materials and resources, Green Cleaning, indoor environmental quality, waste management, people, and more—as an integrated or holistic system. Inasmuch as “clean” is a metaphor for healthy indoor spaces, HFI also emphasizes prevention and removal of pollutants or contaminants to help ensure optimum conditions for living, learning, and working.
