Dr. Anila Bello is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard School of Public Health. She holds a Doctor of Science (ScD) degree in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell; plus a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Chemistry. Her work focuses on quantitative assessment of workplace and environmental exposures.
In 2009, she managed the field exposure portion of a national epidemiologic and exposure assessment study conducted by Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Bello is drafting a grant proposal with a focus on cleaning exposure assessments to be submitted to the National Institute of Health (NIH). She is a past recipient of The Barry Commoner Award (excellence in pollution prevention), the Harvard-NIOSH Education and Research Center (ERC) Award, among others. She has published in a number of professional journals including the Environmental Health Journal, the Journal of Research in Nursing, and the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene.
